Can ivy and pothos live together?

Our new flat has a wall basket with ivy in it and dying peonies that will be taken our of the center. I have a pothos cutting that I would like to plant. Can I put the pothos in the center of the basket and the ivy around the rim and expect them both to thrive? I have no other hanging areas for the pothos, and it needs somewhere. Thanks!

Yes just keep your ivy trimed to stop it from overtaking the basket, keep the compost in the basket moist and all will be well
Reply:They should be fine togther; they require similar care, and should make a nice wall decoration.
Reply:ivy is very accomodating to most things, but make sure whatever you plant in it is tall enough to still be seen, as the ivy can grow a bit tall after awhile.

atleast two foot or more, should be okay.
Reply:the roots of the ivy will kill off any other plant.
Reply:yes.
